Ultra coach/active duty military Josh Laker- Episode #29

from Athletic Definition · host Ray Z

My guest Josh Laker has been running since he was in junior high but it wasn’t until he joined the military and got stationed in Hawaii (2008) that he actually fell in love with running. He started out his adult running career, running road half’s and full marathons. He really found his passion when he started running trails and ultra distance events. Since turning to mostly trail running he has run 3 -100 mile races countless 50 mile and below races and 1 last man standing event. Over the course of his adult running journey he really became interested in the science behind running biomechanics and exercise nutrition. So he pursued and obtained a bachelor's degree in exercise science and master’s degree in human performance. He has also received USA Track and Field Level 1 and level 2 certification.  He started his official coaching business (4CycleRunner) in 2016 as a way to pass on his love for running and help guide those needing a little extra push to overcome obstacles in achieving their ultra goals
