United in Love

I don't know how old you are, but I've been knocking around planet Earth for 24,246 days –  that's just under 66 ½  years. And over that time, without doubt, social cohesion has decayed dramatically. Huge, apparently unbridgeable chasms have opened up. Why is that? I asked a piece of AI software that question. Here's how it responded: "The rise of social division in the modern age can be attributed to a complex interplay of factors." You can say that again! Digital and social media act like echo chambers that fuel our existing beliefs with misinformation and disinformation to lead us down rabbit holes of conspiracy. Me in my bunker, you in yours, so to speak. And the separation afforded by life online makes us more hostile and aggressive, widening the gaps of politics and identity. Everyone it seems has some dogma or other to flog. We can either fuel division by peddling our perspectives, or in the love, the comfort, the joy of the Holy Spirit, with affection and sympathy, we can foster unity in places of discord.
