Universal Health Coverage Program Expands Access to Essential Health Services

Saint Lucia’s Universal Health Coverage (UHC) Program is broadening its range of services to improve access to essential healthcare. The expanded package includes enhanced support for chronic diseases, cancer screening, maternal and child health, dental and mental health services, as well as new treatments and diagnostic services. The Ministry of Health says the services have been introduced in phases since 2023, with additional investments in healthcare infrastructure and information systems to better meet the needs of the population.
