Are you working all that time non-stop 24/7? How’s that going for you?Hard work and determination are key components of a successful career. Without it we wouldn’t move forward. However, having time off is an important part of the success that doesn’t get enough credit. Work doesn't just stay at the office anymore. It’s easily within reach, in your pocket, on your cellphone or at home on your computer. If you’re not careful, it can get overwhelming really quickly.Every now and again David Ralph chooses happiness by unplugging himself from the office. In these unplugged moments, he spends quality time with his family,  gives his mind a rest, and is able to come back to the grind ready to work more efficiently than before. In this episode, David and I go through some points in his career that led him to this unplugged revelation and best practices to maintain happiness while having a successful career. Take a listen to hear more about David’s journey and how he integrated key mindset changes to become the genuinely happy person he is today. David’s Happiness Hack: “If people really want you they fit into it. And if they just want you because it's convenient for them, it's not gonna happen. And so all the rubbish, again, disappears. And by limiting your access to the world, the cream comes to the top.” (22:43)Some Questions I Ask:  - How do you prepare for your day? How do you start your day? (13:17) - What do you look for? What are the early sign of burn out you’ve experienced in your career? (24:38) - Personal definition of happiness? (34:01)In This Episode, You Will Learn:  - David talks us through how he got to non-negotiable stages in his routine. (3:00) - Taking control of the time you give to others for your work (14:01) - Listening to your body will help you know when it’s done too much. (26:23) - Prioritizing your time for you rather than for other people. (33:31)Connect with David: Website
