UNSEEN — EPISODE 3--The Devil’s Playbook: Lies, Temptation & Accusation

from Restoration: Where New Life Begins · host Mixcast4

UNSEEN — EPISODE 3 RECAPThe Devil’s Playbook: Lies, Temptation & AccusationThe enemy’s strategies are ancient—but they are still being used today. In this episode of UNSEEN, we walked through Genesis 3, Matthew 4, and Revelation 12 and uncovered three of Satan’s most persistent tactics:1. DECEPTION — “Did God really say?”Satan begins by questioning God’s Word, then contradicting God’s Word, and ultimately attacking God’s character. The lie beneath so much temptation is simple:“God cannot really be trusted.”But God has spoken. His Word is true. His character is good.2. TEMPTATION — The right desire through the wrong door.Satan often doesn’t tempt us with something obviously evil. He takes legitimate desires—intimacy, security, significance, relief—and offers shortcuts that bypass the will of God.Jesus refused every shortcut in the wilderness.Where Adam failed, Christ obeyed.Where Israel failed, Christ obeyed.Jesus is not merely our example in temptation—He is our victorious Savior and faithful representative.3. ACCUSATION — “Your failure defines you.”Revelation calls Satan the accuser. And one of the most important truths from this episode is this:The facts of the case may be true—but the conclusion is a lie.You may have failed. You may have sinned. You may deeply regret something in your past. But for the person who is in Christ, Satan cannot overturn the verdict of God.“Who shall bring any charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies.” — Romans 8:33There is also an enormous difference between conviction and condemnation.Conviction says:“You sinned. Bring it to Jesus.”Condemnation says:“You sinned. Stay away from Jesus.”Conviction produces repentance.Condemnation produces hiding.Conviction names the sin.Condemnation names you by the sin.Conviction leads toward restoration.Condemnation leads toward shame and paralysis. And Romans 8:1 gives the believer the final verdict:“There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”The devil may accuse. But God has justified. The devil may remind you of what you did.The gospel reminds you of what Christ did.The enemy may tell you to hide.Grace calls you into the light.Know the truth.Recognize the lie.Resist the enemy.Run to your Advocate. And keep your eyes fixed on Jesus.🎙️ UNSEEN — Episode 3The Devil’s Playbook: Lies, Temptation & Accusation📖 Genesis 3 | Matthew 4 | Revelation 12:10Support the show
