Unselfish Act of God - Can we do the same?

from Sunday Homilies with the Redemptorists · host Novena Church

God's ultimate gift to is the gift of Himself. In response, can we give ourselves selflessly to others, especially to those in need. True worship, according to Fr Gerard, is rooted in obedience. Like Mary and Elizabeth, we are called to be bearers of Christ to others. Mary's example teaches us that the greatest gift we can offer is ourselves. While we rely on Mary's intercession, can we strive to be like her? Fr Gerard reminds us that God often chooses the humble and the seemingly insignificant to accomplish great things. Today, God is calling each of us to share our unique gifts with others. -Sunday Homily by Fr. Gerard Louis, C.Ss.R. (22 December 2024)
