Our natural tendency is to find our identity and worth in things like possessions, duties, relationships, future hopes, or past pain. These identity idols distract us from our true worth found in Christ alone. Understanding our identity in Christ means recognizing that our value comes not from what we do, own, or experience, but from who we are as children of God.
