Until the Spirit ComesText: Isaiah 32:15-17 (nkjv)“Until the Spirit is poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness becomes a fruitful field, and the fruitful field is counted as a forest. Then justice will dwell in the wilderness and righteousness remain in the fruitful field. The work of righteousness will be peace, and the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance forever.”IntroductionI wholeheartedly believe that the solution to the deep problems we face in our homes, communities, and nation is not found first in politics, policies, or programs but in spiritual awakening. When hearts are transformed by the Holy Spirit, lives change. When lives change, families are restored. When families are restored, communities are strengthened. True and lasting change always flows from God’s Spirit at work in people.Isaiah paints a picture of a broken society. Corrupt leadership. Moral decay. Empty religion. People trusting in comfort rather than God.
