Up to 20 months planning delays for new supermarkets study shows
from Breakfast Business with Joe Lynam
We all know there is a planning shortage of planners out there but now there’s a study on how much that lack of decision-making is actually costing. DCU and Aldi commissioned research and have found that appeals concerning new supermarkets being built are delayed by up to 91 weeks or 20 months. This according to Aldi costs consumers €78,000 in total a month. Anthony Foley Dublin City University's Professor Emeritus of Economics joined Joe on the show with more on this.
