UPDATE: Belgian Appeal Denied, Credibility Of The World Cup At Stake #Balogun-Gate

The updates just keep on coming as we get down to the final hours before the United States faces off against Belgium in the round of 16.  FIFA has officially denied Belgium’s appeal to its decision allowing U.S. star Folarin Balogun to play in tonight’s game, despite receiving a red card. In response, Belgium’s football federation put out a pointed critique of how FIFA has mishandled the process.  We’ve also heard from the FIFA president, downplaying President Trump’s call to him asking for a review of the red card, and demanding respect for the committee’s decision to allow Balogun on the field tonight.
