Update Your LinkedIn Profile for Massive Growth

from Your Marketing SUCKS with Kyle Milan · host Kyle Milan

What are the areas of focus to make your LinkedIn profile STAND OUT amongst the crowd and help you grow?LinkedIn is an invaluable resource to network with a pool of potential leads, build prospect lists, and connecting to future client sales. This episode will show how to update your profile to amass success in the current environment.Profile Visibility:Ideally, absolutely everything that can be personalized and updated, needs to be updated. The easiest to start with is your custom URL - this should be your first name and last name if available. From a sales standpoint, your profile should be as public as possible, make sure visibility is on for everything, and Google can properly search and index your profile.Headline:The most important aspect of your profile is your headline. Your headline is the summary, the elevator pitch of the value you can bring to your network and potential clients. This helps your profile further pop out as not just your name, company, and position, but you know become a solution to a problem. Make sure your headline is not just short and sweet, but relevant and general to the client pool you want to connect with.Images:Your main profile photo should be a good clean headshot. Your background image does not necessarily have to be business-related, but if you are in sales have something that represents your company’s goods and/or services.Main Profile:Your services section should be filled. If applicable, add licenses and certifications. Your featured section is important where you can link your best foot forward of posts, links, and videos on LinkedIn. Make sure all the links on your profile are working! The featured section is akin to your front page and further differentiates your profile from others; make it relevant and keep it fresh. Your about me section needs to take up as much vertical space as possible:● Use bullet points● Be thoughtful and thorough● Avoid using long paragraphs● Summarize your relevant experience● List your accomplishmentsThe impression you want to leave with your network is that you are a knowledgeable, subject matter expert in their field that can provide valuable insight and services. This approach carries on to fill out the experience section with the companies you have worked out. Double-check to make sure your education background is filled with all relevant information. Skills and endorsements are an added bonus to engagement. While you want to be thoughtful about the skills you list on your profile, they’re not necessarily going to capture attention on your profile. Instead, your network and leads will have skills of their own, and one way to garner attention and stand out is to give them endorsements on their profile and they will respond in kind. It can often spark conversations and lead to common ground to further build rapport.Post recommendations and endorsements if you have any available. Groups on LinkedIn provide a fantastic source to further engage, network and post content and tidbits with those in the same target fields. For the next step in networking on LinkedIn, click on the following link to learn more about Sales Navigator and B2B prospecting: (link)#linkedinprofile #professionalgrowth #socialnetworkingSend us Fan Mail __________Subscribe For More Video Content :https://www.youtube.com/kylemilan__________Say Hi on Social:LinkedIn : https://www.linkedin.com/in/kylemilan/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/kylejmilanFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/KyleJMilan/__________Connect For Business:Milan Media: https://milanmedia.comMilan Media on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/milanmedia/Industrial Sales University: https://training.industrialsalesu.com/enroll
