Na pomezí historického centra Ostravy a parku při řece Ostravici, má vyrůst Dům městských služeb, nová budova pro městské úřady a organizace. Její návrh vzešel z architektonické soutěže a představuje elegantní kruhovou dřevostavbu se skleněnou fasádou. V rozhovoru s architektem Gergely Kenészem a krajinářskou architektkou Júlií Bobríkovou se dozvíte, jak o návrhu této veřejné budovy přemýšleli. „Chtěli jsme, aby dům působil na návštěvníky příjemně a podporoval mezilidský kontakt. Proto jsme zvolili jednoduchý tvar kruhu, snadný pro orientaci. Důležité pro nás bylo, úřad co nejvíce propojit s okolním městem a vtáhnout sem i přírodu z blízkého parku. To se povedlo i díky prostornému zelenému atriu.” říkají architekti. ENGA new building for municipal offices and organizations, the House of Municipal Services, is set to rise on the border between Ostrava's historic center and the park along the Ostravice River. The winning architectural design features an elegant, circular timber structure with a glass facade.In this episode, we talk with architect Gergely Kenész and landscape architect Júlia Bobríková about the thought process behind designing this important public building."We wanted the building to feel pleasant to visitors and encourage human connection. That's why we chose the simple, easy-to-navigate circular shape. It was also crucial for us to connect the office with the surrounding city as much as possible, including bringing nature in from the nearby park. We achieved this, in part, thanks to the spacious green atrium," the architects explain.
