Using email to prevent conflicts

Email is often blamed for causing or inflaming conflict.  And rightly so. Sometimes, it can prevent conflicts. An email reminder of a spoken agreement can solidify memory of it, reassure all that they have the same understanding (or create the opportunity to clarify if they do not) and save face if someone just might forget the details of the agreement.Do you have comments or suggestions about a topic or guest?
