UV Funk 031: Ten Years Altes Wettbüro with Micha Schuhmann

If you wanna know how important the one and only Altes Wettbüro has been for Dresden’s club culture you only have to get a glimpse of the list that Micha Schuhman brought for the UV Funk radio show celebrating the tenth anniversary of Altes Wettbüro. It’s a densely-written document you’ll find names of artists from all kinds of genres on it. In the last ten years the full-time booker Micha Schuhmann had a large share of making the club to what it is today. Starting as a bar on the border of Dresden’s nightclub district Neustadt it soon became also a small-sized club with a loyal crowd and a family-like crew. Almost any Uncanny Valley artist has hosted club nights or played here. But AWB, Wetti, Wetterbüro or whatever you wanna call it isn’t only a venue for parties but also for concerts, discussion forums or workshops. Recently the house has also distinguished itself with an excellent and seasonal cuisine. And let’s not forget the Mediterranean, Ping Pong approved garden plus an additional small clubhouse you can also rent for birthday parties or the likes. One of the best places to stay in Dresden’s summer! There is a lot of speculation about what will happen to the club in the next months. We’ll see where this path will lead.
