UV Funk 037: Lockertmatik Special

If you walk through the now brightly polished streets of Dresden you can’t imagine that the city was once called „The Little Detroit Of The East“. After the wall came down it was a place crowded with industrial ruins and dirty occupied buildings. A place even Mad Mike thought of as “not particularly happy”. In other words: an ideal playground for Techno. It must have been in one of those short lived clubs with names like Base or Fabrik when Stephan Schindler aka Kryptic Universe aka Lockertmatik has been infected with the Techno virus for the first time. At least, these times immediately come to mind when you’re listening to his tracks on Wolfskuil, Psycho Thrill, Melted Recordings, Phonocake, our beloved shtum or his Lockertmatik label.
