The science siblings are bouncing back out of the dry dry lands of electricity and into biology. They seem happy here. They’re looking at the body, starting with the structure of the heart. Somehow Laura manages to make the Tower of Terror queue an analogy for the heart. It’s not a winner. Ron takes Laura on a journey with blood through the heart and all its vestibules, out into the lungs for a minute and back into the heart. Laura is mainly picturing queues at Disneyland so it’s anyones guess how much of it actually went in and how much she now just thinks about Paris when listening to a heartbeat. Ron tells Laura exactly how her heart beats and she hears something else. It’s honestly like magic. But, you will hear information on how nerves travel around your heart making things work. Trivia of the week: there’s a septum in your heart. Laura gets to grips with her entire body being full, and then Ron moves them on to blood. We look at the make up of blood; red and white blood cells, plus platelets and what the purposes of each type of blood cell are.
