Upon being approached to speak with Jem from We Empty Rooms in Castlemaine, AU, I had to dig into as much of the Dead catalog as possible(there's a lot!). Then I found out about the types of releases WER does, like Dead's new album, Burn Us Clean, a box set of 9 split 7" singles! Most everything they release has amazing artwork which is all silksreened. Then Jem chose this album by Harvey Milk! Fucking bonkers! There's so much to get into, and maybe that's why this show is a little longer than usual, but there was a lot to get in there. The long and the short of it is, if you're here because you know and like Jem's band, Dead and don't know Harvey Milk, you might want to get into them. They have some interesting similarities. and Dead has worked closely with some members of Harvey Milk on some songs.
