V&V Episode 131 Thor Harris(Swans, Shearwater, Medicine Singers) & Mike Oldfield's Tubular Bells

If you don't think you know Thor Harris, there's a good chance he's played on one of your favorite albums. Take a look for yourself here: https://www.discogs.com/artist/343752-Thor-Harris?superFilter=Credits This conversation really covers much of what I hoped to learn about Thor from early exposure to music, first experiences performing live, current inspirations, working through depression and of course discovering Mike Oldfield's Tubular Bells and what kind of impact it had on him. In addition to that, Thor shares with us plans for the upcoming Thor & Friends record which will be released on Joyful Noise Records. I strongly suggest you bookmark them because they tend to put out great limited runs that sellout very quickly. https://www.joyfulnoiserecordings.com/ And Thor has upcoming shows including The Big Ears Festival happening very soon. Details are here: https://www.songkick.com/festivals/1048-big-ears/id/42164309-big-ears-festival-2025?utm_source=11593&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=ticket-link&utm_content=3332831 And for future tour dates follow Thor on social media here: https://www.instagram.com/thorharris/ If you'd like to know more about us and how to support this show, please visit www.psychicstatic.net .
