Hoy os invito a viajar hasta Venus para conocer cómo ha ido evolucionando el conocimiento que tenemos de ese planeta. La mitología lo consideraba una diosa, pero la ciencia, apoyada en la investigación y la exploración espacial, ha revelado su verdadera cara: Venus es un infierno. No obstante, las últimas investigaciones indican que guarda muchas sorpresas todavía. Mirando a su pasado, Venus pudo haber tenido una evolución paralela a la Tierra. Durante miles de millones de años las condiciones ambientales fueron más agradables, existieron océanos que cubrían el planeta y el ambiente fue propicio para la vida. Hace unos cientos de millones de años el planeta sufrió un calentamiento extremo, provocado por un efecto invernadero desbocado, la temperatura en superficie subió hasta los 450ºC actuales y el ambiente se hizo inhabitable.
