He just released and impressive new CD .. 2017s Rebirth – Billy was groomed in LA and attended the USC Community School of the Performing Arts earning a Bachelor of Music degree in Composition under the tutelage of Robert Linn and Morton Lauridsen and was then discovered by trumpet legend Freddie Hubbard landing a record deal with Windham Hill Records in 1988 – He has played with folks all over the map .. Yo-Yo Ma, Sting, Renee Fleming, The Los Angeles Philharmonic, The Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Chick Corea, The Kronos Quartet, Wynton Marsalis and he’s quite popular as a composer ..
