VGK hits pause on Mark Stone contract talks

The Golden Knights and Mark Stone have not discussed future plans for the VGK Captain.  Stone enters his contract year without any assurance the team will extend him.  He carries a $9.5 million cap hit currently and a national outlet reported this weekend the talks have now been put on the backburner.  Stone has missed 170 games during his 7 seasons with the Golden Knights.  The Anaheim Ducks now have four days to decide if they want to match the Flyers offer sheet for Leo Carlsson.  It would come at a hefty price of 5-years and $90-million.
