VGK pulls away from Ducks in third period to go 3-0

The Golden Knights scored twice in the third period to pull away from the Anaheim Ducks and post a 3-1 win. VGK became the fourth team to start a season 3-0 in three consecutive seasons, joining San Jose, Minnesota and Chicago. The Sharks did it four straight times. VGK's Brett Howden scored the opening goal. Troy Terry of the Ducks tied it up 1-1. That is where it stood through two periods. In the third, Tomas Hertl scored his first goal of the season on the power play and Pavel Dorofeyev added an insurance goal. Keegan Kolesar had a two point night.
