VGK returns from Olympic break in L.A. with several superstars expected to be missing

VGK has scratched Jack Eichel and Noah Hanifin, Gold Medalists on the Victory Tour, from Wednesday's game in L.A.  Bruce Cassidy returned to coach his team Tuesday and sounded doubtful that Team Canada's Mitch Marner, Mark Stone and Shea Theodore would be in the lineup against the division rivals.  Cassidy cited the long term health of his team.  Eichel and Hanifin will join VGK in D.C. Friday.  VGK recalled Dylan Coghlin, Tanner Laczynski and Kai Uchacz from Henderson to fill some gaps. Las Vegas is bidding to host the 2028 World Cup of Hockey.
