VGK was willing to give up top players in trade deadline deal for Marner
from Locked On Golden Knights - Daily Podcast On the Vegas Golden Knights · host Locked On Podcast Network
According to the Athletic's James Mirtle, the Golden Knights were willing to shed $10-million n cap space in a three-way deal at the trade deadline. The money would have been in salaries for two of three players - Ivan Barbeshev, Tomas Hertl and William Karlsson. The deal would have landed Mitch Marner in Las Vegas. Mikko Rantanen would have been sent to Toronto and two VGK players would be headed to Carolina. Marner eventually decided to deny the trade by using his no-trade clause. We also find it hard to believe that VGK's Bruce Cassidy didn't even get a vote in the Jack Adams voting. And, we recap a physical Game 3 in the Cup Final. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company.
