Vikings Daily Opener, August 8th, 2023

Happy Tuesday Vikings fans! It's August 8th, 2023, and we're just 33 days away from the Vikings' week 1 season opener. Training camp is fully underway, and Head Coach Kevin O'Connell has taken a more physical and intense approach this year to prepare the team for a more aggressive style of play. This is partly due to the team's new defensive coordinator, Brian Flores, who has installed a far-more-aggressive approach than his predecessor, Ed Donatell. Joint practices with the Titans and Cardinals pose a risk due to the increased intensity when two teams match up against each other. Injuries have also been a concern, but the team is making progress. Tight end T.J. Hockenson is back in practice, and cornerback Andrew Booth Jr. is fully participating despite injury concerns.
