Voter registration weekend on 20 and 21 June 2026

Chief Electoral Officer IEC Sy Mamabolo has announced a special voter registration weekend will be on 20 and 21 June 2026. Mamabolo says this is designed to make it easier for eligible South Africans to register or update their details closer to where they ordinarily reside. Mamabolo says once the voting date has been announced, voters must vote at the voting station where they are registered.
