In Argentinien steht die radikale Sparpolitik des libertären Präsidenten Javier Milei zur Abstimmung, denn das Land wählt am Sonntag Teile seines Kongresses neu. Für die Partei des durch die Kettensäge bekannt gewordenen Milei sieht es dabei nicht gut aus. Verliert Milei im Parlament zu viele Mandate, wird es für ihn noch schwerer, Mehrheiten zu organisieren und Dekrete am Kongress vorbei durchzusetzen. Wie geht es den Menschen in Argentinien wirklich? Und wieso gibt es Druck aus dem Ausland? Sophia Boddenberg, Autorin der ZEIT für Südamerika, ordnet ein. Auch in München wird am Sonntag abgestimmt: Die Einwohner der bayerischen Landeshauptstadt entscheiden, ob sich ihre Stadt auf die Austragung der Olympischen und Paralympischen Sommerspiele bewerben soll.
