Wake Up, Teach, Cry a Little, Sleep.

In this bonus episode, I introduce you to my teacher bestie turned real life bestie, Bailey King. We carry you through the development of our friendship, shared challenging times during covid and teaching all together, and how we leaned on each other until we decided what was best for us.   We reflect on the exhaustion and stress we felt while teaching and how we are now happier and less stressed. Bailey and I also share our first impressions of each other in true Let's Be Honest fashion! We express our deep appreciation and loyalty for each other in hopes that as we share more stories, people will see us as we are, authentically human.   Takeaways Teaching can be exhausting and stressful, leading to burnout. Leaving teaching can result in increased happiness and reduced stress. First impressions may not always accurately reflect a person's true character. Strong friendships can develop in unexpected ways. Deciding to leave a career can be a difficult and emotional process. and continues to be!!!
