Walking In ALOHA: 8-week Workshop Week 2 (Sat. Sept. 14, 2024)

from The Walking In ALOHA; Let's Talk Story Podcast · host Michelle A G Ebalaroza Kawano, Blessed to be a Blessing Worldwide

Welcome back to Week 3 of our Walking In ALOHA 8-Week Workshop! Today, we’re diving deep into Affirmations & Actions, a crucial step in living your God-given potential. Last night’s recording was from the front seat of my car at my husband’s class reunion. He told everyone I wasn’t feeling well and that I was "doing my homework." LoL! Why didn’t he just say I was recording a podcast? Well, here we are again, re-recording this episode because last night’s was brief, and I feel like I didn’t cover everything. So, let’s take our time to truly embrace this step. Talking Points: In this chapter, we explored the incredible power of affirmations, but more importantly, actions. Affirmations aren’t just positive statements to make you feel good in the moment—they’re life-transforming declarations when rooted in the Word of God. It’s easy to fall into the trap of worldly affirmations, focusing only on material success or self-centered goals, but we’re called to affirm God’s truth over our lives. Romans 12:2 reminds us, "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." By using affirmations from the Bible, we align our minds, hearts, and actions with God’s will. Affirming, “I am fearfully and wonderfully made” (Psalm 139:14) or “God’s plans for me are good, with a future and hope” (Jeremiah 29:11), transforms how we see ourselves and empowers us to take bold actions. But affirmations alone aren't enough. As James 2:17 says, "Faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead." So, what actions are you taking to live out the truth you’re affirming? In this episode, we talk about putting our feet to our faith—taking intentional steps toward what God has already declared over our lives. Are you affirming God’s promises and stepping out in faith? Are your actions aligned with your affirmations? What are you speaking into your life? And what are you doing to make that a reality? Remember, each small action we take in faith brings us closer to the life God has planned for us. Invitation: I encourage you to share this episode with a friend and invite them to walk in ALOHA alongside you. Every journey is better with the right company! Whether you buy the book, start a small study group, or just encourage one another, make sure your affirmations and actions are grounded in the Word of God—not the world. It’s in His truth that we find true transformation. Want to go deeper? Transformational Quote: “Affirmation without action is just aspiration. But when we root our affirmations in God’s Word and move in faith, we align with His perfect plan and witness the transformation He’s promised.” Michelle Ebalaroza Kawano Let’s keep walking in ALOHA together—affirming, acting, and becoming who God created us to be. Be blessed, and don’t forget to share this journey with others. Each step forward is a testimony of God’s faithfulness, and when we walk in His truth, we not only transform our own lives but inspire others to do the same. Let’s continue speaking life through affirmations rooted in His Word and taking bold actions to live out the destiny He’s prepared for us. Together, we can shine the light of God’s love and grace in all we do.
