Walt Interviews Chalese Stevens – Live Today, Tomorrow Isn’t Guaranteed

from Stand Up and Speak Up · host Stand Up and Speak Up

Chalese Stevens faced a horrific tragedy in June of 2004 when she lost her four-year-old son in a water park drowning accident. Her healing journey has consisted of helping others along the way by not only to those who are grieving losses of their own but also fighting for lives not yet taken. She has now formed a nonprofit organization, Rainy Days Foundation, (www.rainydaysfoundation.com). Chalese has a big heart. Because her son donated his heart valves when he passed, she has connected with families who are battling heart disease with their children, bringing them hope through their darkest storms. Along with running her nonprofit, Chalese is a motivational speaker and leadership developer. She is the author of an adventure blog (chalesetalks.com) and children’s books, (The Adventures of Bug). Chalese is also blessed with two more beautiful children. She is constantly creating memories with and making sure she documents each moment. She is a light to so many with her big heart, infectious laugh, and passion for living her life today, for she knows that tomorrow is never a guarantee.
