Wanderlust Ice & Ink – Édito: Life as a Professional Aerialist on Ice and Pair Figure Skater

I am a professional pair figure skater and an aerialist on ice. These two disciplines shape not only my work, but the rhythm of my daily life, whether I am performing or between contracts. It means sustaining a constant relationship with training, preparation, and physical awareness. When the lights go out, the work does not disappear, it simply shifts form. Ice and air meet in my practice through pair skating, aerial disciplines, and the continuous care required to keep the body strong, precise, and safe. What the audience sees on stage is only a fragment of a much larger profession, one that extends far beyond shows, tours, and scheduled appearances. In this article, I define what my professional life truly includes today, what counts as work, and how this continuity structures everything that follows. On stage and beyond it, this is the framework within which my career exists.
