Watering your Desert

from Come Bible with Ana Podcast · host Ana Rosa

Send us Fan Mail"Imagine for a moment a woman named Hagar. She’s been cast out into the Desert of Beersheba, carrying only a small skin of water and her young son, Ishmael. Eventually, the water runs out. The sun is relentless, the sand is burning, and she is completely empty—emotionally and physically. She’s so certain they’re going to die that she places her son under a bush because she can't bear to watch him fade away. She sits a distance off and just sobs. In that moment, Hagar isn’t just in a literal desert; she’s in a spiritual one. She feels abandoned by everyone she once knew, and she believes even God has stopped watchingBut then, the Bible tells us something incredible. God hears the cry of the boy, and He speaks to Hagar. He doesn't just promise her a future; the text says He opened her eyes, and right there—in the same spot where she had been weeping in despair—she saw a well of water. The well didn't just 'appear' by magic in that second. Most scholars believe the well was already there. Hagar was just too blinded by her pain and the 'dryness' of her situation to see the provision that was standing right next to her. That is the heart of what we’re talking about today. You might feel like you’re wandering aimlessly, but God is about to open your eyes to the 'well' He has already prepared in your wilderness.""Welcome back to Come Bible with Ana. Last week, we talked about 'keeping the fire going'—that high-energy, passionate devotion. But what happens when the fire feels like it’s turned into scorching heat? Today, we are shifting from the mountain top to the sand. We’re talking about walking through the desert.""A dry season isn't a sign of failure; it’s often a sign of a new work God is doing. If you feel empty, lonely, or like God is silent, this episode is for you."Thank you for your support. I thank you for listening.  I just want to say, none of this would be possible without God. So until next time, keep Bibling, keep spreading God's word and Water your Desert. Open your ears, your hearts and your minds, and put God first and see him work in everything, give God your heart, soul and life. Be disciplined in God and dig deeper in God's word. He loves you and so do I!   This is the year of renewal and building your relationship and foundation on God's word.  If you feel like sowing into this ministry God is leading me please use Venmo @AnaRoas-24 Email: [email protected] Instagram: bc2sisters  TikTok: ana_rosa1024Support the show
