WAVcast 17 // Ida Mandato

Ida Mandato was born in a small town in Calabria, Italy in 1989. Seduced by music and art in general, she moved to Rome where she had the chance to open up to more new experiences. She studies History of Art at the university and at the same time takes her path behind the console with the Crew Female Cut in 2013 and undertakes collaborations with the Animal Social Club where she become a resident after a year. As Ida's technique refines and increases her ability to express herself through music becomes increasingly known and appreciated in the underground clubs of Italy's capitol. She travels between Rome and Berlin, and enriches her sound with the exquisite refinement typical of the Eternal City, ranging from ambient, experimental, dark techno sounds to the most raw and violent industrial sounds inspired by a very modern and fervent Berlin. She has dozens of collaborations.
