We are all God's Deacons

Chapters 6-8 and the beginning of the book of Acts narrate four main events. The election of the first deacons, the ministry and message of Stephen, the martyrdom of Stephen, and the introduction of Saul of Tarsus. The need for deacons, and especially Stephen's story, teach us inspiring truths as we follow and imitate Christ, proclaiming the Good News of the Gospel.
