We Are Becoming A Loyalty-Damaged Population

WE ARE BECOMING A LOYALTY-DAMAGED POPULATIONIt is a common saying that : Hurt People Hurt People.One big way I see this hurt playing out in our culture is through the experience of BETRAYAL.The experience that we are accumulating the most in our current culture of abundant dating and intimacy choices is the experience of Betrayal.And it isn’t even like there are two camps - one camp of people who are doing the betraying and another camp of the ones being betrayed.Everyone in our current culture is accumulating experiences of being ignored, ghosted, disregarded, disrespected, devalued, discarded.  Everyone is accumulating experiences of Betrayal.How does the pain of Betrayal propagate forward?  Through more Betrayal!The more we are hurt, the more we are inclined to hurt others before they can hurt us.The more we feel betrayed, the more disloyal we become, the more we withhold our heart and vulnerability from others, and the more we are inclined to betray others before they can betray us.This is a sad domino effect moving through our culture right now.  It’s up to us to observe this energy in ourselves and to decide to do something about it.— Om Rupani— OmRupani.orgwww.OmRupani.org
