We Don't Have to Be This Angry About Everything All of the Time

from My Journal - Agatha Nolen · host Agatha Nolen

<figure class=" sqs-block-image-figure intrinsic " > I check social media at least a few times a day as my blog posts appear there and I like to reply promptly to comments or questions. There are posts from a few friends (past and present) that I always stop to read. They are usually uplifting, inspiring or ask thoughtful questions without judgment or condemnation. I enjoy photos of adorable children and pets, as well as outdoor scenes that remind me of the beauty of nature. The posts that I only scan seem to be from angry people. Not activists who’ve identified a cause that they care deeply about, but instead they seem to be angry about everything!!I’ve always been curious about many things but am authority on very few (if any). I’ve also noticed that sometimes my opinions change when I learn new information, but I have to be open to seeing a viewpoint other than my own.I like to be around positive people who are willing to share information, but also open to listening to others. There is no such thing as a dialogue with only one person. As Christians, our lives will be filled with struggles.Early in her career, U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was asked about comments made by men that were intentionally degrading. She was asked, “How did you respond?” &nbsp; She said, “Never in anger. That would have been self-defeating.”I agree, it is self-defeating to respond to any comments with anger.Blessings, my friend,Agatha We Don't Have to Be This Angry About Everything All of the Time Agatha Nolen Download
