5 Lessons From Today's AM Briefing CPI drops today and all-time highs are sitting right overhead. The tape is still stuck inside yesterday's range and George is flat into the number. Days like this reward the trader who has already decided what he will and will not do. Here is what today was teaching. Lesson 1: Your trade plan outranks everyone Your written trade plan trumps anything George says and anything in the Battle Plan. On a CPI day, decide in advance whether you trade, take one look, or just watch. Lesson 2: One good level can pay three times Battle Plan 1 set up Monday, Tuesday and again yesterday for roughly 10, 13 and 25 points. The map is drawn a day ahead, so stay patient and let price come back to it. Lesson 3: Match the tool to your own style George runs the 3-Contract System on longs but trades touch-and-go on shorts. Protect the entry with risk-first size, then let a lotto runner reach for the big move. Lesson 4: Range rules rule Inside a defined range, hunt shorts in the red at the top and longs in the green at the bottom. Stop fighting the muddy middle.
