Week 24 - muhamor - Unwanted guests (BLUE SANDWICH)

Hello! › Production notes‹ Production notes Speedy speed trash this week. I didn't work on music until Sunday morning, so this is a result of my mad scramble to get something done. Total work time is about 3 hours. I had grand inspiration to do another trance track or maybe something high bpm, but it's hard to do something new in a short amount of time. So I messed around with a half-time beat at 150bpm, and the end result is maybe complextro-ish bass-trap? The most interesting production technique in this is I've been messing around with randomly switching up instruments to get more variation in the sounds. For example, I'll make 3-5 copies of my high-hat instrument, each with a different sample, and then I'll put an RNL command to the right of the instrument to randomly choose one of the samples. I also did this with the shifting bass instruments in the last section. I'm also realizing that having breaks in between working on music. I tend to get tunnel vision on a sound/measure when I'm working on it; and then I get bored and tired with it. I've seen chatter about how it's important to reset your ears, and this feels very apt.
