Week 26 - jwh - a doorway (w emily)

emily // alien chorus, synth pads, vocals jwh // drums, electric guitar, vocals, mix round 6 of the 2026 monthly emily collab! halfway through the year, HOLY CARPS › the process‹ the process once a month emily and i set up some gear to do some recording & see what comes to the surface. we then go to our respective corners to layer & mix without listening to what the other is doing. we don't listen to the other's mix until after it goes live on WB  :) this month was another change-up as i was away from home for the week (thankfully i had a small pile of gear with me). we agreed to each take 30 minutes to record 3 tracks, then send those tracks to the other to layer on for an additional 30 minutes, and then mix/ finalize. emily sent me a great foundation to build on, and i'm very curious to hear what she did with the tracks i sent her. ok! › lyrics‹ lyrics wondering through worried creeks our feet are wet with promise guardians are scurrying and standing at alert no matter where the empty leads i'll always find your hand find me in the hidden creek a doorway to the land >>> if you are here first, please make sure to head over to emily's page to check out her Week 26: emily // in the blink of an eye XO, jwh 2026 Copyright All rights reserved
