Week 27 - Tom Foolery - Another day has dawned

Very much went into this feeling uninspired. I had nothing in mind, and on a whim, asked a friend for inspiration. They told me about a feeling they had while taking the dog they are dog-sitting for a morning walk. I put the guitar in DADAAD tuning and tried to capture that. This week has been busy, as always, although I think I did a bit better at making some more time and space for myself? Time for reading. Time for getting my thoughts onto paper. I spent the week craving some sort of reset - I have a trip away planned next weekend so I reminded myself that good things come to those who wait. I felt tired to my bones this weekend, and last night I turned my alarm off and just let myself sleep. I ran along the bay and put my feet in the icy cold water. It's a little adventure and a little reset and that's all I need. I made sticky date pudding for a friend and had some big honest conversations. We watched Chicken Run. I realised this week so many of my fantasies (where I could live for example) involve having other people around - would I still be willing to do these things alone? I found this thought too big so I sat down in my new beanbag and read a book for a while. Good things come to those who wait. Good things come to those who are willing to work towards something and know that it will take time. Immensely proud of everyone for making it into the second half of weeklybeats!
