Welcome to the Spring Court - A Court of Thorns and Roses Review

This episode of Lost in Fiction is the most anticipated yet, as Emily and Alex dive into the richly imagined world of A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas. With Alex reading her very first SJM book and Emily returning to a longtime favourite, the two share their excitement at finally starting this beloved series. As they journey with Feyre beyond the wall and into the enchanting Spring Court, they explore the slow burn pacing that lays the groundwork for everything to come. From deadly wolf hunts to fae politics and unexpected romance, they unpack the quiet tension of a story that slowly sharpens and deepens, especially in its thrilling second half. Whether you're reading ACOTAR for the first time or returning with well-worn tabs, this spoiler-free episode covers book one only (with no other SJM spoilers at all). And always remember that in Prythian, masks hide more than just faces.
