Welsh Whisperer - Andrew Walton

from Beti a'i Phobol Hosted by BBC Radio Cymru

Y canwr gwlad Andrew Walton o Gwmfelin Mynach yw gwestai Beti a'i Phobol. Mae hefyd yn cael ei adnabod fel y Welsh Whisperer, ac mae'n dathlu 10 mlynedd eleni ers dechrau perfformio. Mi fydd y caneuon 'Ni'n Beilo Nawr' a 'Bois y JCB' yn gyfarwydd i'w ffans. Cafodd ei fagu yng Nghwmfelin Mynach yn Sir Gaerfyrddin. Mae bellach yn byw yng Nghaernarfon, Gwynedd. Graddiodd mewn newyddiaduraeth ym Mhrifysgol Sheffield , a bu'n athro ysgol gynradd yn y gogledd am sawl blwyddyn, cyn mentro o ddifri i'r byd perfformio. Mae'r Welsh Whisperer bellach yn wyneb cyfarwydd ar y teledu, yn perfformio canu gwlad mewn gwyliau cerddorol ac yn denu niferoedd i neuaddau pentref ar hyd y wlad. Mae'n cyflwyno cyfres o bodlediadau newydd ' Y Byd yn Grwn' sy'n rhoi cipolwg y tu ôl i'r llenni ar glybiau pêl-droed llawr gwlad a'r gwirfoddolwyr allweddol sy'n eu rhedeg. Cawn hanesion difyr ei fywyd, ac mae'n dewis caneuon Gwyddelig ac un gan ei arwr Tecwyn Ifan.
