中國古代早已重視引水與城市供水，但現代意義上的自來水制度，則在近代城市化進程中逐步建立。其中，上海是中國最早發展現代自來水系統的重要城市之一。隨著城市人口急增，傳統供水方式已難滿足需求，上海開始興建水廠與鋪設管道，利用黃浦江作主要水源，經抽水、沉澱、過濾與輸送程序，向市民提供較穩定的生活用水。本集《文化360》，陳玉清將介紹中國近代自來水系統的起步歷程。
