Were Humans Created by Aliens? What Genesis Really Says | Paul Wallis

Did aliens create humans? It is the question that launched a thousand YouTube comments, and in this episode of the TruthSeekah Podcast, Paul Wallis answers it from the text of Genesis itself. Wallis, a born-again believer and the author of Escaping from Eden, does not come to debunk the Bible. He comes to understand it, and his journey starts with a translation question: why is the Hebrew word Elohim, usually translated as God, a plural word? Reading it as powerful ones, Wallis shows, transforms the creation story into something radically different, a record of beings who arrived in technology, modified our ancestors, and governed over us. In Genesis 1, before any word of creation is spoken, the planet already exists, flooded and shrouded in darkness, waiting for someone to turn up and rehabilitate it. He introduces the theory of panspermia, championed by DNA co-discoverer Francis Crick, that the genetic coding for conscious intelligent life was seeded through the cosmos, and he connects the Elohim to the Anunnaki stories of Sumer and the sky people of world mythology.
