Our Host, Lori La Bey will be talking with Pia Kontos a senior scientist at the KITE-Toronto Rehabilitation Institute, and Professor in the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto. She is an activist academic who draws on the arts to challenge stigma associated with dementia and transform the culture of dementia care. In addition, Phyllis Fehr will be joining us. Phyllis promotes the abilities of people living with dementia by advocating for people living with this disease both locally and nationally. Phyllis has spoken at the Senate of Canada, the United Nations, and the World Health Organization from a lived experience perspective, educating about stigma associated with dementia.
