We hear about reenactments of the 1965 civil rights march from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama. For Christians, the sacraments of baptism and holy communion are reenactments of important moments in Jesus’s life. Through the sacraments, Jesus’s presence is made tangible to us, and we participate in his death and resurrection.
