In a disturbing recent trend, multiple promising legal efforts and programs that addressed longstanding systems of inequality have been shut down and challenged.   Last month, the U.S. Court of Appeals blocked Fearless Fund from awarding grants to historically underfunded women of color-led businesses. In Evanston, Illinois, the historic municipal reparations program is now being challenged in court.
