In fact for some, it is far from silent. It is full of memories that sometimes scream at us. Memories of regret, hardships, sorrows and wishful thinking. Also when all is still there is a chance to come into an understanding of what may be concerning us regarding our affairs. To see something that was hidden by all our busyness. Silence can reveal insights, understanding and perhaps spiritual revelations. But silence can also reveal ourselves to ourselves.
