What Does It Mean to Surrender to the Guru? குருவிடம் சரணடைவது என்றால் என்ன?

from Santhosam Podcast: Guiding Light of Spiritual Wisdom · host Santhosam

In the 26th Velvi Discourse, Gurumahaan Reveals What Happens When the Eyes Become Still! If you have learned to think from consciousness (MeiUnarvu), live in consciousness, realize in consciousness and know yourself through consciousness, then there is no more birth. That is why I speak about keeping the eyes steady. When you practise keeping your eyes open and still for one, two or three minutes every day, the mind also becomes still. When there is no movement in the mind and you remain fully awake and aware, there is no need for another birth. You can go beyond the cycle of birth and death and attain the highest state. This birth can become your last birth. For those who truly want this birth to be their last, this is the place. What is this place? It is Moksha Sthalam. My work is to transform you into human gods, to help you realize the God within you. You must allow me to do my work. I have done my duty. What do you have to do? You have to come and surrender. Only when you offer your head can the shaving be done. I know how to shave the head. I will shave your head here too. What does this mean? My work is to remove the karmic burden you have accumulated through many births. That is my work. Who am I? I am the one who helps you destroy your accumulated karma. I have destroyed my own karma. Now I am ready to help you destroy yours. You may call upon any deity. Let the divine power remove your sins and merits. My duty is to make you pure. You have accumulated so much within you through many births. What is the purpose of this birth? This birth has come because of the longing created through many births. So understand why you have come here. Ask yourself: Who am I? How did I come here? Why did I come here? The secrets of your life are within you. Sit here every day and contemplate them. It is not only the actions of this birth. You have carried impressions and karma from many births. How many births will you need to clear everything you have accumulated? If you truly want this to be your last birth, you must think deeply about it. Simply placing my hand on your head again and again is not enough. You must surrender. You must remain steadfast. You must have faith in the Guru. The one who surrenders to God and has complete faith in the Guru can rise to great heights in this very birth. Send us Fan Mail Let Wisdom Flourish!
