But on a fishing trip with Sam and his sister Sarah, Bruce loses control and the hulk is released. Fleeing from the ship and his friend Sam, Banner, partially inspired by his friend Sam but also his own loathing of the Hulk, tries to separate the beast from his human self but inadvertently creates an Apex gamma beast hellbent on destruction.The Avengers, Steve Rogers, Thor, Tony Stark, Clint Barton and Natasha Romanov create giant Hulk Busters to beat their enemy but they are lost in the battle. Their loss inspired the surviving heroes to win the first Gamma War.10 years later the Apex rises again.
